Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Emin Boztepe website and the online services offered through it. Last updated: 15.06.2026.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all visitors and registered users of the Emin Boztepe website. By creating an account, registering for a seminar, or otherwise using our online services, you accept these terms in their then-current form. Deviating arrangements require written confirmation.

2. User accounts

Student, instructor and school-director accounts are personal and may not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Accounts may be suspended or deleted at any time in case of misuse, false information, or breach of these terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time via your dashboard.

3. School directors and license fees

School directors operate independently and are solely responsible for the content of their school profile (training times, addresses, descriptions, photos). The use of the EBMAS name, logo and curriculum requires a valid license.

4. Seminar bookings

A seminar registration becomes binding once submitted and (where a fee applies) successfully paid. The number of places per seminar is limited; we may decline registrations once a seminar is full. Programme, location, instructor and starting time may change for organisational reasons; participants will be notified in such cases.

5. Prices and payment

Prices stated on the website are final and, where applicable, include statutory VAT. Payments are processed via PayPal. The respective payment provider's terms apply in addition.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Consumers in the EU have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract for paid services, unless we have begun providing the service with your express consent before the end of the withdrawal period. To withdraw, send an informal declaration (e.g. by email) to the contact address below. For seminars: cancellations more than 14 days before the start are refunded in full; less than 14 days no refund is owed unless the place can be re-sold. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

7. Conduct during training and events

Participation in training, seminars and gradings is at the participant's own risk. Participants must follow the instructions of the instructors and behave in a manner that does not endanger themselves or others. We may exclude participants who repeatedly disturb training or act aggressively, without refund of any fees.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website (text, images, videos, layout, logo, curriculum descriptions) is protected by copyright. Member-only videos and curriculum materials may only be used for the user's own training and may not be copied, redistributed, made publicly available, or used commercially without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For damages caused by simple negligence we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages. Any further liability is excluded.

10. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the website you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future, e.g. to reflect changes in the law or new features. Registered users will be informed of significant changes by email or a notice in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not object within that period, the amended terms are deemed accepted.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the consumer's country of habitual residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is the registered seat of the operator.
